Life can be hectic sometimes (most of the time) and we're always interested in finding new places or treatments that help us totally zone out, relax and re-set. We thought we'd share our latest finds with you so that if you're finding things a bit overwhelming you can book yourself in for a session. In addition to this, we have put together a short list of at-home remedies that we really love.
1. Re-mind drop in meditation studio
Tucked behind the new Eccleston yards development, this sanctuary of calm is relaxing from the moment you step inside. Immerse yourself in a crystal heaven while someone guides you through a sound meditation or a reiki healing class. Hold healing yoga poses for 3-6 mins each in a Yin class or attend a full moon workshop and set intentions for the new moon in an all women's circle. Freshly brewed tea is available so we like to get there a few minutes early in order to enjoy a warm mug while flicking through the great books, tarot cards and magazines they have out for all to use. If you're not tempted to buy their organic potions, salts and yoga accessories in the reception area then we really admire your self-control.
2. KXU Yoga
Feel smug while you pass the rest of the world heading into an intense spinning class or Meta KX session and know that you're about to flop into the large but somehow cosy yoga studio equipped with the most luxurious bolsters, blocks and yoga mats. The classes at KXU are aimed to challenge you but not kill you and the total zen that takes over your body in shavasana is so intense it's almost impossible to get up and go home. Our favourite teachers are Danielle and Chris.
3. Suzie Bath @ home yoga
She's the best home yoga teacher in London we've decided. Despite teaching at Bodyism and Heartcore most mornings, as well as doing yoga retreats in Turkey and Morocco - Suzie spends the majority of her time with private clients in their own homes. Equipped with delicious smelling oils, lavender infused eye masks and tiger balm to get you in the mood and feeling energised, Suzie arrives full of life and makes you want a dose whatever she's doing. She guides you through a range of sequences based on any niggles or stiffness you may have and adjusts and pushes you so that you get the most out of your session. The head massage and hip opener at the end of class while your'e practically passed out in Shavasana is what gets us.
4. Ruuby App Massage
Book an at home massage for a Sunday night and begin your week the right way. Quick, convenient and crazy good is how we'd descripe this app. They also have hair, nail, makeup and astrology chart readings straight to your home - if you haven't used it, you're missing out!
6. Katy Boughey Reiki healing
Katy is the closest thing to a real life guardian angel. You feel at home, loved and calm the moment she greets you and then you lie in a bed with the comfiest, cosiest duvet while she balances your chakras and suggests what needs more attention. Her home is gorgeous, which is where she sees clients - and you leave feeling like you're walking on clouds.
These are some easy, schedule free ways to feel instantly calm in your home:
- Magnesium or Epsom salt bath
- This works sleep spray before you go to bed
- Neom candles
- Olivia Von Halle pyjamas
- Ikigai book
- Yalda's hot chocolate
